CHAPTER 13: KIMA

“You was really in there arguing with that nigga?” Roland said to me the moment we got into the car. I really didn’t feel like hearing his mouth, but I knew it was inevitable. My baby daddy had him insecure as fuck ever since he took over the streets and put him out of business but that had nothing to do with me.

“I’m trying to see my daughter and you know that.”

Out of nowhere he burst out laughing. I looked at him with the meanest mug before rolling my eyes.

“You and I both know you don’t give a fuck about your daughter. Why you really was going back and forth with that nigga?”

“Because. I wanna get what I’m owed and the only way for that to happen is if I get in good with the kid.”

When I slept with Black, I had no intention on getting pregnant or being in a full-blown relationship with him. Shit just ended up happening that way. He was up and coming in the streets, so I was cool. I figured eventually he would be bringing in some real ass money, so I was just gone chill and collect my child support later. His rise to the top was taking too long though, so when I met Roland, I jumped on the opportunity. Roland was cashing out on me, had the big ass house with the nice car so naturally I went with him. Roland was that nigga at one point before Nasir took off. It’s like once Nasir made it to the top all other boss niggas folded or had they shit shut down. Now I was stuck with this nigga and he spent more money than he brought in, so he was running low.

“That nigga Black ain’t gonna ever let you around the kid.”

“He will, eventually. I’m just going to have to play by his terms for a little then once I’m in good, we’re going to take him out so you can get back the streets.”

At the mention of him getting back the streets, he immediately perked up like I knew he would.

“I’m just going to need your help taking him out.”

He looked a little conflicted at first, but he eventually agreed. Black was that nigga and he had niggas in these streets shook, but I know how bad Roland wanted to be back on top, so he was going to agree with whatever I said. Once I got Black out the way I then would get Roland out the way. Taking Roland out myself would be way easier than taking out Black. Roland was older now and not really as “business” savvy as Black. It was no way I was going to sit back and let him run anything when all it took was a young nigga to take him out the game.

“So how we gone do this?” He asked me.

The truth was, I didn’t really have a set plan. I knew shit wasn’t going to be as easy as I made it out to be, but I was determined to make it happen.
